Not All is Lost: Failed Supernovae Shed Light on Massive Star Evolution
SUPERnova fail!
SUPERnova fail!
Failed supernovae result in massive stars disappearing into the night sky without a trace. Although many stars may meet this fat, we’re just beginning to look for them!
The undergraduate research series has been revived! This month’s post features research on neutrinos from failed supernovae and compact-object mergers, as well as research on magnetic fields in the intracluster medium.
